This action research aimed to develop a digital reading text of the history of mathematics for junior high schools. The researcher adjusted the content of the digital reading text of the history of mathematics through action reflection and invited experts to consult successively to develop the digital reading text of the history of mathematics for the junior high school course, "Mathematics in Poetry." The results indicated that, following the ADDIE model—going through the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation—and taking the results of this research as an example, the narrative method can be employed to arrange mathematical poems and link mathematics with literature. After three action cycles are completed, i.e., the revision of the content, reinforcing the interactive function, and adding the situation, this approach can be used as a possible method to develop the digital reading text for the history of mathematics for the junior high school level. Future researchers should consider and improve the quality of the internet connection, the availability of hardware-writing equipment, the alignment of reading activities with course progress, and the degree of cooperation of students in filling out anonymous questionnaires.
